The buttons on the D4240 Handpiece are the direct Hand Controls that manage the rotation and operating mode of the attached surgical blade.

► Features

• Mode 1: Forward (FWD)Used for aggressive bone and tissue removal. The button may initiate and maintain continuous rotation up to 12,000 RPM.
• Mode 2: Oscillate (OSC)Used for debulking and minimizing clogging. The button typically activates bi-directional rotation at lower speeds (e.g., up to 2,500 CPM).
• Mode 3: Reverse (REV)Used for specific cutting/clearing techniques. The button may initiate continuous rotation in the reverse direction.
• Start/Stop ControlOne button may act as the primary ON/OFF switch or a Safety/Pause function for the motor.
• Force TransmissionThe button commands initiate the 35 in-oz of torque to the attached blade/bur.
